Gauksmýri Lodge offers holiday services with an emphasis on nature and horsemanship, while adhering to the Icelandic Farm Holidays' environment guidelines.

Gauksmýri Lodge is located in the valley Línakradalur in West Húnathing County, and it is halfway between Reykjavik (194 km) and Akureyri (194 km) on Road nr 1. The closest villages are Laugarbakki and Hvammstangi.

The Gauksmýri Lodge offers made up beds in recently renovated single and double rooms with and without private bathroom. The guesthouse is composed of 18 new rooms with private bathrooms and 9 rooms without private bathroom. All rooms have a beautiful view on the Icelandic landscape.
Accommodation in an older house is also offered and is located a few meters away from the guesthouse.

You can take a walk in the surroundings of Gauksmýri where you can enjoy watching birds and horses in their natural environment.

General : Other facilities are offered such as a nice and comfortable living room where you can watch television and use the video recorder, a dining room, a coffee house, a bar, Icelandic meals.
