Itinerary
We head downtown, to the sea and the gleaming new Harpa-music hall and from there out to the West-side where we visit one of the most interesting places in Reykjavik – the old cemetery. We cycle along Reykjavik’s oldest streets stopping at numerous interesting places, i.e. the House of Parliament, the neo-gothic Catholic cathedral and Reykjavik City Hall where we can view a large relief map of Iceland. If interested, we can show you where to get some of the best seafood or excellent pizza and where to go for drinks.
We head to the campus of the University of Iceland. From there we cycle to the coastline and visit Ylströnd (a warm beach) which draws its name from the geothermal water that is pumped into the sea to make it warmer. The beach is a popular recreational area in Reykjavík. We then cycle up-hill to Perlan where we can enjoy a spectacular views of Reykjavik and it’s surroundings.
This guided bike tour is designed with English speaking traveler in mind. We offer other languages on request.
We can provide child carrier, trail-a-bike or child seat on request.
