Description
Wake up early for an exciting tour where you will see with your own eyes the biggest animals in history in their natural habitat and add a Golden Circle Express tour in the afternoon for a full day of fun! This is a perfect combination of two of our tours.
On this whale watching tour you can see the most amazing mammals in the world, holding the record for being the biggest, with the longest migration, the deepest living and that is capable of emitting the loudest noise in nature of all mammals.
The local bird life is diverse, including birds as the Puffin, Arctic Tern, Gannet and many varieties of Gull.
Passengers are picked up at the harbor at 12:30 for the Golden Circle Express tour.
We start by visiting the Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD. Geologically it is remarkable and there you can see tectonic plate boundaries that form breathtaking scenery.
We also visit the impressive Gullfoss waterfall and the spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur.
Although this afternoon trip is an express tour, you will be visiting some of the very best historical sites and natural phenomena in the country. Before we return to Reykjavik we will pass Hveragerdi greenhouse village.
