Whales are beautiful animals and one of nature’s most extraordinary sights. The cruise takes about 3 hours and, because of our crew’s expertise and the abundant marine life, we have spotted whales on over 98% of our tours. Our most common whalespotting include Minke Whales, White-Beaked Dolphins, Harbor Porpoises and even the majestic Humpback Whales. A wide variety of seabirds can be observed, so be ready to train your camera on Gannets, Guillemots, Cormorants, Gulls, Kittiwakes, Arctic Terns and thousands of colorful Puffins on nearby islands during the Puffin season. Our guides use their experience to help you locate the animals, describe what is seen and where to look and use their scientific knowledge to answer your questions. Our crew make sure that any birders on board don’t miss the ones we encounter. Our tours are operated from the old harbour in Reykjavik.
Our ship ANDREA has spacious and finely decorated public areas with huge windows and a café with refreshments for your convenience. The extra larger viewing deck boasts a fantastic panoramic view to capture the fantastic scenery around for your convenience.
Our captains welcome any curious passenger to come visit the wheelhouse and see how the equipment works. Our guides use their experience to help you locate the animals, describe what is seen and where to look and use their scientific knowledge to answer your questions.
