Join us on a combination of tours AH62 The Highland Road and AH13 Golden Circle Evening Tour, where we take you over the second highest pass in Iceland and show you the most popular sights of the country under the charming evening sun.


We start by driving through the Hvalfjord tunnel to meet our guide at Deildartunguhver. From there we head to the waterfalls Barnafossar and Hraunfossar and then continue over the pass of Kaldidalur to Thingvellir National Park. Nicknamed as "Highland for beginners" for being the shortest highland track in Iceland the Kaldidalur pass gets name from the valley it crosses, meaning Cold valley. The route features barren nature but a scenic view to mountains like Skjaldbreidur and Hlodufell and the glaciers of Eiriksjokull, Ok, Thorisjokull and last but not least, Langjokull, the second largest ice cap in Iceland.

We will visit Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Althingi was established in the year 930 AD and which was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in August 2004. At Thingvellir, the Icelanders declared their independence the 17. June 1944.

We continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall in the golden rays of the setting sun. Gullfoss is a powerful waterfall that runs in the river Hvita in Haukadalur.

From there we visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting geysers of Geysir and Strokkur, echoing into the peaceful evening glow. This is a great opportunity to experience romantic tranquility in a beautiful area that touches everyone. You get the opportunity to see the highlights of Iceland under a bright and charming evening sky, reflecting a different light on the landscape. From here we head home for Reykjavik.
