Day 1, Arrival and Blue Lagoon

We meet and greet you at Keflavik international airport in the afternoon and start the tour with a visit to the fantastic Blue Lagoon. After relaxing there we continue to your hotel, about an hour’s drive east of Reykjavik. Here we stay for one night at farm or guesthouse in the area.

Accommodation: Hotel Eldhestar or similar.

Day 2, Golden Circle

We start the day by visiting the most interesting historic and geographic place in Iceland, Thingvellir, to be the first place to receive UNESCO’s nomination of world heritage. Here we can eyewitness the rift splitting the American and European continents. Thereafter we set the course to the amazing natural sights of waterfall Gullfoss and spouting Geysir (Strokkur). Having visited these places we drive through South Iceland to our accommodation somewhere around the villages Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
Depending on weather conditions we will head for a Northern Light hunt on one of the evenings.

Accommodation: South Coast of Iceland.

Day 3, Skaftafell and Glacier Lagoon

After a good breakfast we drive further east to National Park Skaftafell. Skaftafell is a wooded area surrounded by expanses of sand desert deposited by glacial rivers and a massive glacier named Vatnajökull. Here we have the opportunity to go on an easy glacier walk and search for ice caves. From Skaftafell we continue to the famous glacier lagoon Jokulsarlon with its floating icebergs calving from majestic glacier Vatnajokull. We return to our cozy accommodation where we relax and enjoy another great dinner.

Accommodation: South Coast of Iceland.

Day 4, South Coast

We leave our accommodation behind and head through South Iceland back to Reykjavik. On our way we stop at the varied sights along the south coast, like the basalt formations Reynisdrangar and the beautiful waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. The tour finishes in Reykjavik.

Accommodation: on your own in Reykjavik.
