The geothermal area around Hengill plateau is the second most powerful on Earth. This is a high heated area due to a volcanic chamber stationed beneath it and thousands of hot springs and steaming vents can be found in the area. It can be found close to the town Hveragerdi.

Vatnajokull glacial ice cap is Europe's largest glacier and Earth's third largest glacier, about 8300 square kilometers in size. Hidden beneath the icecap are several volcanic systems, such as Bardarbunga, Grimsvotn, Thordarhyrna, Kverkfjoll and Oraefajokull.

This tour, offered all year around, is a circle around Myrdalsjokull glacier. Which is hthe fourth biggest glacier in Iceland, covering an area of around 580 square kilometers. Under the thick shell of ice lies the volcano Katla which has erupted at least 23 times in historical times.

Mount Hekla is one of Icelands most famous volcanos. Together with the volcano Katla in Myrdalsjokull glacier and Grimsvotn area in Vatnajokull glacier, it is on of Icelands most active volcano. This linear-shaped volcano has erupted 20 times in historical times - the last one thousand years.

Reykjanes peninsula is the southwestern most point of Iceland and also the youngest. The North Atlantic ridge comes ashore there and due to that visible signs of volcanic activity can be seen all over the peninsula. Lava tubes, rifts and hot springs can be found in a number of locations.
