Gjabakkahellir is one of these lava tubes which was formed during an eruption about 9000 years ago. The tube is open in both directions, so it is easy to walk through it. Gjabakkahellir is 364 metres long. Gjabakkahellir has a lot to offer the explorer. The entrances are very close to the main road, during the winter time it offers magnificent ice sculptures.
