Tour Itinerary

The day begins at the Wilderness Center, where we’ll make some final preparations and then head out into the wild. We’ll be hiking towards the old abandoned farm at Kleif – keeping an eye out for the amazing animals that live in the area, including reindeer and a wide selection of bird life.

At Kleif, our passionate local guide will give us a full tour of the farm and tell us all about the resourceful things that the people who lived there did to survive. Then, we’ll head outside to the Jökulsá river, where the adventurous members of the group can winch themselves across it in our recently restored cableway. After that, it’s back to the farm for a warming mug of hot chocolate, after a fun day of family-friendly activities.
