For further information:
We start the tour at the Vesturbugt Harbor in downtown Reykjavik. From there we will set sail towards Videy Island. Videy is a beautiful island that covers 1.7 km2 (0.7 sq. m). We will circle the island and find a spot to drop the plow. The plow allows us to catch creatures of the sea, and seeing what we catch is very interesting.
After exploring the area around Videy Island, we head towards Hvalfjordur Fjord (The Whale Fjord). Usually there is a variety of whales all year round by the Reykjavik Coast. Minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and harbor porpoises are among the species that are most often seen around the coast of Iceland.
On this tour, you might also be able to try some sea angling. On our way back to Vesturburgt Harbor, we will barbeque our catch of the day. Everybody on board can taste what we caught. The fish doesn’t get any fresher than this!
