Tour Description

glacier snowmobile tour iceland

Let's have some fun!

Riding a snowmobile across Langjokull, is an unmissable experience and should be done by everybody who comes on vacation to Iceland. We will meet at our mobile basecamp on Langjokull Glacier (please check driving directions), where we will then ensure that you are properly kitted out: with gloves, overalls and a helmet. After that our certified glacier expert will give you a safety talk and teach you how to operate the snowmobile, before you head out onto Langjokull.

Langjokull, is an absolutely stunning location: rimmed by Volcanos, it also contains two gigantic ice filled craters: the remains of ones that have gone extinct. Langjokull, also provides stunning views of some of Iceland’s most majestic sights: the Eiríksjökull glacier, created during a volcanic eruption in the last ice age, it is the largest table mountain in Iceland; the Hofsjökull glacier (temple glacier), so named due to its beautiful domed peek; and the Kerlingarfjöll mountain range, one of the largest geothermal areas in all of Europe. A snowmobiling trip across the Langjokull, is an unforgettable experience and definitely something to cross off your bucket list.

If you are unable to meet us at our basecamp, then please check our other tours, which may be more suitable for your needs: pick up from Reykjavik or Gullfoss.
