This magnificent tour will take us to the notorious Eyjafjallajökull Ice Cap, whose eruption in 2010 caused chaos over European skies and grounded the majority of the continent’s air fleet. We will traverse this ice-covered volcano in one of our specially designed super jeeps, ensuring that you can see the very epitome of the land of fire and ice. We also visit several other natural wonders, including the cascading Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss Waterfalls, alongside jet-black volcanic beaches and much, much more. It truly is a spectacular adventure that will remain with you for the rest of your life.

Our day begins when we collect you in one of our specially designed jeeps and head towards the famous Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, whose cone-like stream crashes down more than 60 meters into a volcanic gorge below. Your guide will show you the craggy cave that is hidden behind the curtain of water, allowing you to see this area of exquisite natural beauty from a totally different angle.
From there we will head to a secret moss-covered canyon, where a frothy white cascade tumbles over the lava-crusted cliff face. It should be noted that this gorgeous hidden waterfall, known as Gljúfrabúi, is almost impossible to visit without getting wet, meaning that we recommend that you bring waterproof clothing. We may also stop at the narrow mountain ravine called Nauthúsagil, where an equally beautiful cascade rolls down a cliff.
By then we will be nearing the glacial tongue, allowing us to deflate the tires of the jeep and get ready for some pulsating fun on a pristine expanse of fluffy white snow. We will fire across this glacial landscape bisected by icy-blue rivers and rugged lava sculptures, before stopping at the very edge of the ice-cap to enjoy a spectacular view over Iceland’s iconic South Coast. We also have a traditional Icelandic lunch, including meat soup with lamb, rice, and vegetables, amidst yet more stunning natural scenery.
Then we will head down to the famous volcanic beaches of South Iceland, whose jet-black sands provide the ideal contrast to the blue waves that lap against them. We will pause there for another spectacular view where glaciers and volcanoes stand side by side and the white-tipped waves of the sea crash in the background.
The final stop of the day will be the majestic Skogafoss Waterfall, where a wide torrent of water tumbles down into a valley below. It is a place that is shrouded in myth and legend, including two fascinating rock formations that are located around halfway up it that are believed to be trolls who were turned to stone by the sunrise. There is also a weaving path up the hillside whose summit offers glorious vistas of the waterfall itself and the nearby Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull Glaciers.
We will then return to Reykjavik following a day of fun, adventure, and wonder.
