It's getting closer to the next music festival in Iceland. Sónar International is held in February in Harpa.
Sónar Reykjavík 2016 takes place February 18, 19 & 20, on five different stages at one of Europe's most unique concert venues; Harpa. Beside the two main stages, Silfuberg (SónarClub) and Norðurljós (SónarHall), a part of the underground car park will again be transformed into the SónarLab nightclub where local and international DJ´s will perform during the festival. A scenic part of the concert house will also be changed into the SónarFlói stage along with the seated hall of Kaldalón (SónarComplex).
Taken from the final line up announcement from the festival holders:
"First of all we are happy to welcome back the phenomenon Icelandic trio Vök who put on a memorable show at Sónar Reykjavik 2014. Other bands announced are Ruxpin, Futuregrapher and Halleluwah. From the thriving DJ scene we have the legendary Icelandic DJ Tommi White, BenSöl, RVK DNB, Rix, the DJ duo KSF and Óðinn who will be representing Thule Records, the highly acclaimed Icelandic techno label. Sónar Reykjavík would not be true to its origin without the emerging talent so we are thrilled to have asdfhg., Kosmodod, Tonik Ensemble and Good Moon Deer added to the line up along with Ultraplay from the UK."
This years’ program will feature over 70 bands, solo artists and DJs. Reykjavik will take place on five stages with a total capacity of 3500 guests. Beside the two main stages a part of the concert halls underground parking will be changed in to a nightclub were local and international DJ´s will perform during the festival. A scenic part of the concert house will also be changed into a stage along with a seated hall with capacity of 199 guests. The final line-up will consist of more than 70 artist, bands and DJs.
