If you enjoy taking photographs, Iceland is the right place for you to visit. Below is a list of seven reasons why Iceland is a picture perfect paradise for photographers.

Extreme situations

Sometimes in order to get the perfect shot, you have to be willing to go the extra mile. With Iceland amazing nature, if you travel to the right places at the right time, you should be able to find something extreme to photograph.

Breathtaking unique scenery

In Iceland, you will find amazing and unique scenery. With our caves, waterfalls, geysers, glaciers, and volcanoes, you should not struggle with finding something incredible to photograph. You don’t have to go far to see picturesque waterfalls in the evening sun, or geysers shooting water high into the air every few minutes. Iceland is definitely unique.

Lively people

Taking photos of people can be very challenging. Photographing people from different cultures can help make the finished product even more interesting. People in Iceland are usually very friendly to tourists and outsiders. So, if you talk to the right people, they are most likely willing to participate and to pose for you. Whether you are looking to take actions shots of people in Iceland, or up close and personal shots, Iceland is the place to be.

Different animals

If you are looking to take different photographs than everybody else, you need different topics to photograph. In Iceland we have many animals that you do not see everywhere else in the world. Examples of our animals are the Icelandic horse, puffins, wild sheep, artic fox, whales and dolphins.

Northern Lights

Many people come to Iceland just to see the northern lights. These green and sometimes multicolored lights are remarkable, and make for very phenomenal photographs. The northern lights are a must see for photographers.

Midnight Sun

During the summer in Iceland, the sun does not set. This means that you have natural sunlight day and night in Iceland. During the night, the sun comes close to setting, and it creates a beautiful array of colors in the sky, creating the perfect lighting for photographs.

All alone in the universe

If you go far enough away from the capital and into the highlands, you can be amidst amazing nature while being completely by yourself. When you are so completely alone in the universe, it is easy to get inspired to take great photographs and to become one with nature.
