Soak in the mineral-rich geothermal seawaters of the Blue Lagoon before hunting the magical Northern Lights at night!

The Blue Lagoon

We'll pick you up from downtown Reykjavik (at your selected pick up location) and transfer you to the Blue Lagoon. We’ll arrive at the spa at 15:00 (3:00 p.m.). Along with the return transfer, this package includes either the "comfort admission" with the classic tour option or the "premium admission" with the premium tour option.

Iceland's favorite lagoon has been listed as one of the 25 wonders of the world by National Geographic. The list contained the most remarkable destinations and phenomena all around the globe such as the African Sahara desert, Hawaiian volcanoes, Borneo’s rainforests, just to mention just a few.

Blue Lagoon is a world-class spa with modern facilities, saunas, steam rooms, and a relaxation area. The geothermal seawater flows from 2000 meters deep through fine volcanic filters. It is first used by the powerplant for creating green energy and then flows into the lagoon. The temperature of the water is steady at around 37 to 39°c (98-102°F) and it renews every 40 hours.

The water is famous for its healing effects. There is evidence that the natural and unique active ingredients that can be found in the water can actually help with many types of skin problems. Research shows that the so-called coccoid algae that thrive here can reduce the UV-induced degradation of collagen in the skin and the filamentous algae stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production. The admission fee includes unlimited free silica mud masks for everyone so your skin can heal while you enjoy the water. The premium admission includes algae mask as well.

Floating in the mineral-rich milky-blue and warm water in the middle of a rugged lava field is a truly unforgettable experience!

The Northern Lights

After your soak, hop in a Minibus or a Superjeep with a local expert aurora guide to chase the Northern Lights!

This guided tour guarantees the best chances of spotting the auroras. Our expert guides have years of experience chasing the Northern Lights. They monitor weather and aurora forecasts closely to determine the best place to chase the lights on any given night.

If you select the classic tour, you'll travel in a minibus. If you select the premium tour, you'll join a smaller group and travel in a super jeep for an even more thrilling Northern Lights adventure.

The Aurora Borealis is a beautiful natural phenomenon that can paint Iceland's night sky with dancing light and surreal colors anytime throughout the winter season.

The best time to see the northern lights is from September to April. The nights are pitch black and last 10 to 20 hours. December and January are the darkest months when you might be able to see the Aurora even during the afternoon!

If you are lucky, you might even see the lights while soaking in the Blue Lagoon!
