Sonar Reykjavik 2017 16th - 18th February 2017

Sonar Reykjavik is a festival that takes place on the 16th - 18th of February, 2017. The festival is held on two main stages at the unique venue Harpa Concert Hall, as well as underground parking will be changed into a nightclub where local and international DJ's will perform during the festival. A scenic part of Harpa Concert Hall will also be changed into a stage and a seated hall.

Winter lights festival 2-5 February 2017

A splendid Winter Lights Festival will take place 2-5 February in all six municipalities of the capital area. This is the sixteenth time that this festival of light and darkness is held, comprising four main features – Museum Night, Swimming Pool Night, Snow Party and Light Art.

Classic Icelandic Christmas - Concerts

This year, The Langholt Church Choir will give its annual Christmas concerts which are one of the oldest traditions during the Christmas holdidays in Iceland.

Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF)

RIFF takes place every year in late September for eleven days. The Reykjavík international film festival shows a wide range of dramas and non-fiction films from over 40 countries and is becomming bigger and bigger every year. Booking in advance is recommended for some of the screening. The festival highlights independent film making from all over the world with an emphasis on up-and-coming filmmakers.
