The Festival has been the most popular event of the summer at the Reykjavik City Museum (http://borgarsogusafn.is/en/arbaer-open-air-museum) since 1999. Accordion performers are playing the accordion all across the museum in the very appropriate setting of the museum, inside the old houses of Reykjavik but also outside. At the time these houses were built, the accordion was the main (and often the only) instrument required when people gathered and wanted to dance. We welcome accordion players from the level of advanced to professional that would like to perform at the event which is each year on Sunday in the middle of July between 13:00 and 17:00. It would be useful if you could provide samples of your music and a short list of performances and education. Since accordionists are spread all across the museum we would like to stretch that you do not have to be a world class accordionist for us to be able to find a spot for you at the museum where you could perform.
