Write for Rights by Amnesty International is the world’s largest human-rights campaign. It simultaneously takes place in many countries around the globe to collect signatures for 10 urgent cases of human rights abuse and to put pressure on governments that are violating them.
Every year there are real changes in the lives of victims of human rights violations. Wrongfully detained people are released. Torturers are sentenced and people in prisons receive humane treatment. For the victims of human rights violations and their families, the letters represent the international solidarity of people who care about their rights and human dignity.
By signing 10 urgent cases of human rights abuse everyone can participate in putting pressure on local governments that violate human rights.
