The festival aim on introducing youth to a wide range of arts disciplines through the medium of workshops and performances. In 2010 it got launched and has taken place once a year since then, it is dedicated to children and young people in Reykjavík up to the age of 16 years old. What sets this unique festival apart is that it places emphasis on participation, focusing most on the artist side in the children. Variety of activities are offered for the children, such as theatre workshops, circus, visual arts, storytelling, music, film, puppetry, and dance. There are many institutions that take part in the event including, nursery schools, primary schools, music and art schools, libraries, museums, and theatres.
