Icelandic nature is endlessly diverse. When you travel in Iceland, you constantly encounter contrasts, whether it‘s the stark blackness of the sandy beaches against the vibrant green moss, or the notoriously fast-changing weather which can warm you with sunshine one minute, but soak you through with rain or sleet the next.

This old plane wreck is a popular stop, but it was recently closed off to traffic, so you will have to walk for about 40 minutes to get there.

Snaefellsnes peninsula is sometimes called “Iceland in a nutshell”, because it has it all: glaciers, lava, volcanic craters & much more. Totally a must-see.
