It is not that long ago since Icelanders started celebrating this day of love. We have other days, more authentic dedicated to love, both Konudagur (e. Women‘s day) and Bóndadagur (Husband‘s day). But because of Valentine‘s day, we have chosen our 5 most romantic photos all taken somewhere in Iceland‘s secluded nature - except for one in Reykjavik.
If these don't inspire your romantic mood we don't know what does:
5. Ice ice baby
This heart of ice was found at Svinafellsjokull glacier where we were glacier hiking this winter
4. A proposal at Skogafoss
This lovely couple got engaged during our Sensational tour. It happened at Skogafoss waterfall and this cute little rainbow appeared and made the moment even more picturesque.
3. Rouge in Reykjavik
It can get quite romantic in the city as well. Do you know the name of this sculpture? We think it would be lovey-dovey to spend an evening walking the Sæbraut passing this ship!
2. Fjallsarlon glacier lagoon
Not as famous as the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon but Fjallsarlon is just as beautiful. Can it get more romantic?
1. Bathing in northern lights
Wow, it obviously can! Michal, our friend and former photographer captured this of himself and his girlfriend few months ago.
