Kopar is a rustic style innovative restaurant in an inspiring location by the harbour. On the menu, new methods and classic recipes converge, using traditional ingredients together with some surprising new ones.
Kopar is the first restaurant in Reykjavík to serve Icelandic rock crab. Kopar’s brasserie dishes give guests the opportunity to explore the world of food in one night for a reasonable price. The brasserie dishes are small dishes that are a delicious add-on to traditional courses.
Of course the food is the most relevant matter, but service, company and environment are also very important.
Kopar is influenced by its environment. The old marina with its boats and the vibrant city centre, together with culinary inventive and unconventional ingredients build up an eclectic mix that shall not pass unnoticed.
The restaurant accommodates 90 people spread over two floors. A group of 40 – 60 can occupy a single floor. Please note, parties of 12 or larger must choose from a prix fix menu.
The KOPAR Adventure is a tasting menu designed to enthral your taste buds and take you on a guided tour to ecstasy. Some parts of the adventure you will share, but some you will have to tread alone.
You will find a vegetarian dish in all of the menu sections, sometimes more than one. If travelling with a party likely to take the Kopar Adventure it is advisable to contact the restaurant so that they can prepare a true vegetarian adventure for you.
There's of course wheelchair access, and a children's menu is available as well.
