Tour Description

Snorkel in the Silfra Fissure, located in Thingvellir National Park, one of the three main attractions on the Golden Circle. Follow with a warm soak in the Secret Lagoon, located in Fludir village only 25 minutes from Geysir hot springs and just off the Golden Circle route. This tour is ideal for people who want an authentic Iceland experience: offering the chance to explore some of Iceland’s most magisterial sights. All you need is a car to meet us there!

Þingvellir (Thingvellir National Park)

Thingvellir National Park in Iceland

Thingvellir National Park, one of the Golden Circle gems

Iceland’s equivalent of the White House or the British Parliament, this geological wonderland bisects Europe and North America and is home to the oldest, still operational, democratic institution in the world. Althingi, Iceland’s parliament was first convened here in 930 AD and this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must visit for anyone staying in Iceland. This combined with a magnificent volcanic landscape, crafted over many centuries and the ever-expanding rift valley between Europe and North America, makes Thingvellir, one of the best destinations in the entire world.

Snorkeling in Silfra Fissure

Snorkeling in the clear water of Silfra Fissure

Snorkel in the clearest water in the world!

A turquoise world located beneath Thingvellir National Park, this magnificent underwater experience has often been described as liquid meditation. You will snorkel in a shallow ravine between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, meaning that Silfra allows you to swim between two continents. This coupled with its incredible underwater visibility that allows you to see more than 100 meters into its icy blue depths, ensures that it is an unforgettable experience that will remain with you forever. Our expert guides will ensure that you feel safe and comfortable as you explore this blue wonderland.

The Secret Lagoon

The final location for you to enjoy is situated in the picturesque village of Flúðir, renowned for its geothermal activity, which is home to the iconic secret lagoon (Gamla Laugin in Icelandic, which literally translates to the old pool) the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. It is a magnificent naturally occurring hot spring, whose warm replenishing waters are famed for their healing properties. The water remains at 38-40°C all year long, making it the perfect way to warm up after snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure. This coupled with the majestic natural surroundings makes bathing in it a profound experience that all visitors are bound to enjoy.

Get properly acquainted with the land of fire and ice, going to some of Iceland's most famous sights. So, if you want to see the world’s oldest parliament, swim between continents and replenish yourself in volcanic waters then this is the tour for you!
