This mesmerizing tour will take us in search of the Northern Lights – the heavenly light show, whose vivid flickering colors have bewitched sky gazers for millennia. The three-hour adventure begins in Reykjavik when one of our friendly guides collects you and we head out in search of the elusive Aurora. It is impossible to guarantee a sighting on any given day; however, our expert team will utilize the best available information, including local knowledge, the prevailing weather conditions, and the aurora forecast to put us in the best possible position to see them. We always aim to find as isolated place as possible, ensuring that there is no light pollution and that you can enjoy the spectacular light show without hordes of other tourists ruining things.
If we are lucky enough to see them, then you are in for a treat – as the dark sky is suddenly illuminated by vibrant colors that dance across the sky in a scene of unimaginable beauty. It is a truly magical experience that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end and make even the most stoic individual gaze in wonder at the awe-inspiring beauty that our world can produce. The Vikings believed that they were caused by light reflecting off the armor of the legendary Valkyrie as they charged into battle and when you see them it is hard not to believe that they are supernatural – even if it is just for a second. But, in truth, words don’t do the Northern Lights justice – they are the kind of miraculous experience, which can only be appreciated in the flesh.
If we don’t see the Northern Lights on the day of your trip – then we allow you to join the next tour free of charge: maximizing your chances of seeing this jaw-dropping natural wonder. So, come and join us for a bucket list experience without compare and an experience that is bound to remain with you forever!
