Laugar is a small community of just over 100 inhabitants, in the lush and sheltered valley of Reykjadalur, and is the gateway to some of the country's most spectacular natural attractions, such as Lake Mývatn, Ásbyrgi Canyon and the waterfalls, Goðafoss and Dettifoss.
The hotel has a restaurant that also serves as a breakfast room.

Fosshotel Laugar is only a short drive away from Akureyri (60 km), Husavik (40 km) and Lake Myvatn (30 km). Gateway to some of the regions greatest attractions, including the waterfalls Godafoss, Dettifoss, and the Asbyrgi canyon, Laugar is also close to some of Icelands greatest trout and salmon rivers, including the legendary Laxa in Adaldalur.

Swimming Pool in Laugar
Near the hotel there's an excellent public swimming pool, open daily until 21:00. The swimming pool at Laugar has splendid 25-meter long swimming lanes as well as two spacious hot tubs and wading pools.
Nothing is better after a long day traveling in Iceland than going to the thermal pool and relax.
