Just opened in 2011, UNO is the new italian kitchen in downtown Reykjavik and it is already cooking up a storm! UNO has captured the essence of fresh, stylish italian cooking and blended it beautifully with Iceland‘s finest seasonal ingredients. The result is a menu which oozes flavour, colour and originality.
Fresh Pasta of the day is always guided by the Head Chef, Guðmundur Melberg and bread and pasta specialist, Nino. The team at UNO have a constant companion in the kitchen in the form of Rosa, their beloved pasta machine. You can watch them at work, lovingly crafting fresh pasta every single day.
The menu is as wide as it is delicious. For example, lobster and prawn linguine and also an intriguing range of bruschetta and carpaccio. Along with the more traditional tomato and mozzarella dishes you will find bacalao and proscuitto bruschetta. Tender meats and fish populate the main menu with a selection of risottos.
Fusion spills over into the desserts with a gorgeous white chocolate panna cotta made with Skyr ( Iceland‘s very own low-fat dairy heaven) and licorice gelato bomb.
